History of the radio
Minerva Radio was an Austrian company founded in Vienna at the end of the 20's, the radios were assembled in Paris, Italy and Poland and marketed in France by resellers. In 1937, a French company Minerva Radio was founded to resell the devices, then the French factory was bombed during the Second World War. Wilhem Wohleber, the owner, died in 1950 and his wife took over. From then on, all models were designed in France. Minerva diversified in the 1960s to produce televisions and was sold to Grundig in 1968. Grundig continued to use the brand until its bankruptcy in 2003.
This is our very first Minerva to land in the shop. From our point of view, most of the brand's items, both in terms of lines and materials, are not very interesting, but we definitely liked this model of classic modernist Art Deco inspiration.
