Vintage Radio with WIFI
TSF radio set equipped with a 80W full range speaker combined with a class D amplifier (the original speaker had a power of 1 W!). An active filtering enables this audio system to get closer to a high fidelity sound and bass management is dynamic (relative increase in intensity at low volume for harmonious rendering even when muted).
The device also features noise filters to suppress electronic noise from the WIFI card and electrical activity in the room.

Its WIFI module will allow you to stream audio from music platforms and radio stations with much better sound quality than Bluetooth. Technical possibilities are rapidly evolving and we are dedicated to making our vintage devices effective tools to take advantage of them!

WIFI connectivity also opens up the possibility of synchronous wireless streaming to multiple devices (multi-room). If you buy a second device (radio, WIFI record player or WIFI speaker), one could play the left track and the other the right, or one could play your music in the living room and the other in the kitchen.

The device is also equipped with a Bluetooth connectivity to broadcast tracks stored on your phone (MP3 ...) or sound directly from the Internet (Youtube ...).

Case condition
The exterior is completely original. Some minor signs of age:
- the varnish shows a few touched-up nicks on the top of the case
As you can see from the pictures, this radio is in excellent condition!
History of the radio
This Radio is quite a surprise to find! They didn’t make many of this model as E.C.R were a manufacture of radio chassies not complete finished Radios. The Saphir was design by E.C.R. as a showcase model to demonstrate just what could be done! What they achieved had both elegance and style! Very few of these were made making this a very rare radio indeed!
Entreprise de Constructions Radio-Électriques E.C.R. started in 1934 and made radio chassies for many of the larger radio manufacture including Reela. They were closed during WWII but reopened promptly in 1945.
