TSF vintage radio WIFI - High Fidelity sound
A vintage radio equipped with an 80W class D amplifier and a coaxial loudspeaker consisting of an 11cm woofer rated at 60W and a 20W silk dome tweeter (the original loudspeaker was rated at 1W!). It meets the criteria of our high-fidelity range: upgraded to a multi-channel loudspeaker, its drivers and crossovers have been sized according to the unit's body to get the best out of it. It's the first time we've managed to fit a hi-fi system into such a small cabinet!

The device also features noise filters to suppress electronic noise from the WIFI card and electrical activity in the room.
Its WIFI module will allow you to stream audio from music platforms and radio stations with much better sound quality than Bluetooth. Technical possibilities are rapidly evolving and we are dedicated to making our vintage devices effective tools to take advantage of them!

WIFI connectivity also opens up the possibility of synchronous wireless streaming to multiple devices (multi-room). If you buy a second device (radio, WIFI record player or WIFI speaker), one could play the left track and the other the right, or one could play your music in the living room and the other in the kitchen. We also sell a WIFI adaptor that converts your audio system into a WIFI speaker via a simple jack plug.

The device is also equipped with a Bluetooth connectivity to broadcast tracks stored on your phone (MP3 ...) or sound directly from the Internet (Youtube ...).

Case condition
The exterior is completely original. Some minor signs of age:
- the varnish shows some light scratches
As you can see from the pictures, this radio is in excellent condition!
History of the radio
Ducastel Frères started in 1933 and continued in the radio and television design and manufacturing until 1968. In their time they made 174 different models of radios, two models of record player (this is one of them) and 16 varieties of televisions. Not a bad run for a small company!
They had two sites just outside the Paris center.

Like many of the radio companies in France they left an amazing legacy of radio and television designs but sadly little else. I have been unable to find any history for Ducastel other than their surviving radios.
