Description
WIFI vintage Record-Player!
Upcycled into a custom 2-way connected speaker, this device is part of our High Fidelity range. It contains a 100W class D amplifier combined with a 12cm 80W woofer and a 20W tweeter (the original speaker had a power of 1W!). A digital filtering allows to obtain a very flat response curve, for a balanced high-fidelity sound. Particular attention has been paid to the bass: the bass is dynamic (its level is increased at low volume) and a switch activates the Superbass function to give more weight to the bass according to the taste of the listener and the type of music.
The device also features noise filters to suppress electronic noise from the WIFI card and electrical activity in the room.
On the rear panel, knobs allow you to adjust the tone to correct the quality losses of aged vinyls.

This device can be used as a "simple" record player with a very good sound: turn it on, start the rotation of the turntable, place the sapphire on your vinyl record and enjoy the music.
Flip the back switch and turn it into a WIFI and Bluetooth connected speaker. You'll be able to use your phone or tablet to play your playlists, your favorite music platform and any radio or web radio stations and their podcasts.

Moreover, in this mode, the signal of the turntable is digitized and transmitted to the WIFI module. Our system allows you to broadcast your vinyl records to other WIFI speakers in a synchronous way! This makes this antique one of the most advanced record players in the world (more information below: multiroom systems).
The device is also equipped with a Bluetooth connectivity to broadcast tracks stored on your phone (MP3 ...) or sound directly from the Internet (Youtube ...).

Vinyl Turntable
History of the radio
Reela manufactured radios from 1942 to the 1980s. Their innovative design, rooted in the Art Deco movement, quickly allowed the company to grow to occupy an important place in France and in North Africa. Their first factory was located on Rue des Pyrenees in Paris, it moved to the 18th arrondissement in 1950 and other factories were opened, while Reela, in addition to its own models of radios and record players, manufactured radios for other brands. In the late 1950s, Reela diversified into television and car radio models, and the venture continued until the 1980s.
This 1957 model is a popular classic!
Philips was founded in 1891 by Frederik Philips and his son Gerard. The father, a banker, financed the acquisition of a factory in Eindhoven, where the company began to manufacture electrical components. After a difficult first few years, during which they almost went bankrupt, Gerard's younger brother Anton joined the company. As an engineer, he quickly brought fresh ideas to the table and the business grew rapidly. In the following years, the family laid the foundations for the multinational electronics company. In the 1930s they marketed the very popular "Chapelle" radio, and in 1939 the first electric razor.
After World War II, Philips produced vinyl turntables that we love for their robustness. The company contributed a lot to the Art Deco movement, seeking to move away from the natural lines of Art Nouveau into more abstract modern forms. After 1960 came the tape players, then other technologies.
